I already follow you! Keep it up. Did you see the recent magazine with type-in modern listings? https://vole.wtf/doctype/

Their list of public domain films is great! https://vole.wtf/voleflix/ Hadn’t realized that even some 1960s films are in the public domain.

Site is pretty awesome, I've been messing around for quite some time now.
I was impressed by Voleflix [1], I love old movies and the collection is pretty great.

Please, flash would have sucked on phones. Even if the battery on the original iPhone could have stood the strain, none of the flash games that existed at the time would have been any fun at all on the phone's tiny screen.
I wrote this [0] in 2010 and it remains my one tech prediction that actually came true.
A good example of where things lie today is StyScrapers[1] - a flash-like game completely implemented in HTML - not in a canvas but with div elements controlled by the physics engine. It runs smoother and uses the browser much better than flash ever could.

It seems that in order to plot a time series, one has to pre-process the data to get some glyhps that get rendered.
With modern font stacks, wouldn't it be possible to process comma-separated values directly? There are fonts [0, 1] that censor words without any need for pre-processing. I think this would be beneficial for accessibility.

71% with one: https://vole.wtf/clone-a-lisa/
It feels like a solid gray patch with the default color would have a slightly higher percentage but I'm having a hard time getting an even enough spray to say it's from the shade and not density variations between the light/dark portions.
Sadly for me, using single color leaving the middle and top brighter was significantly better than my actual attempts hitting near 80.

EDIT: Oh, I thought it would embed the results in the link. I think you should add that as a feature so it’s easier to share

There's also The Kilobyte's Gambit [1], which is a chess engine written in 1024 bytes of JavaScript.

To me the banding in the "lossless" (do words mean nothing anymore !?) webp pictures is super clear and looks like how I'd expect low quality JPEGs to look.
It's the same kind of artifact that makes certain movies look terrible over netflix, those that have large dark blank spaces. Maybe you shouldn't look to closely because once you see it, it'll ruin your enjoyment of certain compressed media forever.
And by the way I don't think the comparison with audiophile equipment is fair. In the audiophile case we are talking about using very similar output hardware to output what is effectively the same signal. Here we have huge differences in file size (35% and more between JPEG and WEBP, a lot more than that for true lossless), and taking diffs between them shows very much that the signal isn't the same.
There is a compression limit under which you can see it's compressed, right?
https://vole.wtf/kilogram/
So it makes sense that there is some threshold sensitivity where a picture starts appearing "lossless". That threshold is going to be different from device to device and person to person.

I'm huge fan of those browser-mini-games.
Like:

And the Reach 100 fits perfectly here.
It's sick, how difficult it is.
It reminds me of Kuroma (it took me 2 months to complete a single stage with a score of 39).
Much appreciate that you shared it here.
