And yet, so many people think Cursor-camp[0] is great.
Mental framing of a tech is weird.

It would be great for the movie theater to be able to play any video, like the movie theater in Cursor Camp that multiple players can watch together. Then you could watch the extremely weird original SimTower movies:

Cursor Camp:

LOVE this! I also love how concise and readable it is...
Only thing I miss (especially for people who never experienced early internet) would be a visual example, or picture of the site, etc... like this:

After his first #1 HN post on Nov 11, 2024, Sean Goedecke went on a ridiculous posting run in 2025. Over 130 published and 2nd only to Simon Willison.

He was also responsible for one of the worst web pages ever created: https://neal.fun/stimulation-clicker/
(It's utterly brilliant but monstrous.)
waxpancake · 2025-12-10
This is definitely not something Neal would ever do. Can you share the URL you're talking about? There's no IQ test in his projects list at all. https://neal.fun/

I love this guy.

Lovely, as all neal.fun experiments. <3
My favorite is probably https://neal.fun/infinite-craft/
This type of interactive learning experience reminds me of how fun it was to browse Encarta back in the day. It was full of interesting facts, presented in fun interactive ways. As much as I love that we have Wikipedia today, a static web page with text and limited multimedia is far less engaging and conducive to learning.
I think that Neal Agarwal and Bartosz Ciechanowski should be sponsored by the Wikimedia Foundation to create similar experiences on Wikipedia. That would do so much to facilitate learning for students of all ages.

Level 38 reminded me of another fantastic item from the same creator:

I have a better solution:
F12 -> Storage -> Local Storage -> https://neal.fun
Select "not-a-robot-level" and change this value from "46" to "47"
Refresh your browser tab.

Sounds like you'll love "Spend Bill Gates' Money" [1]

Somewhere on a zip are my IE 5.5 bookmarks. I'll stumble upon them again one day and remember how excited I was to surf the web on my 233mhz G3.

What a unique little site, I love all those little experiments. I feel weirdly proud of my 95.5% perfect circle: https://neal.fun/perfect-circle/

I am especially excited for the Smart ComboBox:
https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/introducing-dotnet-smart-compone…
In general, I see the idea of semantic matching instead of textual matching as one of the great, pragmatic applications of the current technology.
Somewhat related fun application of this concept is this: https://neal.fun/infinite-craft/ (the combination outputs are generated by LLMs)

Ha, what great fun.
My circle is 97.0% perfect, can you beat that? https://neal.fun/perfect-circle/
akprasad · 2023-10-26
Congratulations on shipping.
I see a lot of focus on startups, AI tools, productivity hacks, tech stacks, etc. What audience do you have in mind? I personally find that the most interesting sites on HN are outside of your scope here (examples: https://ciechanow.ski/, https://neal.fun/, https://search.marginalia.nu/).
not_your_vase · 2023-07-28
Yeah, because the correct url is https://neal.fun/perfect-circle/ - but wouldn't say that it was worth the effort figuring it out.
rashford_prime · 2023-06-29
excellent! now can you solve this?

zubairshaik · 2023-05-23
Would you be open to suggestions? Off the top of my head, there's Explorable Explanations from https://ncase.me and, while not as educational, The Space Elevator on https://neal.fun

Naturally decided to check out the author's home page: https://neal.fun/
Super cool projects and visualizations, particularly really enjoyed https://neal.fun/deep-sea/ and https://neal.fun/printing-money/
pcmaffey · 2021-06-15
A few non-fiction stories I love:
https://neal.fun/deep-sea/ - Gives me the feeling of wonder I'd had as a kid looking at "explore the world" type picture books...
https://ncase.me/trust/ - Really everything by Nicky Case is top notch, but I particularly enjoy this one.
Fiction:
http://memories.sutueatsflies.com/ - Love the way the words flow over the pictures.
https://www.featherbuuble.com - My own humble attempt from a few years ago... so much fun making this.
schoen · 2020-03-27
There was an HN submission about https://neal.fun/deep-sea/ at some point, which is a great visualization of just how far this is, and how amazingly deep some forms of life can get.
dugmartin · 2019-12-21
There is a space object size visualization on that same site that is worth a look:
