The Bloomberg story on the Koch Brothers is a complete smear job: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2011/09/bloomberg-legitimate-new…
Statists don't like the Koch's because they hate anyone who believes that people should be free to make their own decisions without being ordered about by small-minded busybodies whose self-image depends on the delusion that they know what's best for everyone else. And rather than engage in debate, they find it much easier to just demonize their opponents with dishonest ad hominim attacks.

I'm more in the skeptic camp, but I don't find the comments cited in this article very suspect, especially without further context. The comments may just be warning users not to use the function past 1960.
The most damning excepts from the leaked email are the following:
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2009/11/024996.php
In this one, they delete emails rather than respond to a FOIA request
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2009/11/024995.php
In which they lie to the NYTimes in response to a question of data cherry picking. They tell the NYTimes that they looked into the criticisms and that the criticisms were completely unfounded. But behind the scenes they were emailing each other that they could not explain the results, and in fact, other scientists had found the criticisms to be quite valid.

I would encourage you to explore alternative media (such as the above) rather than just following the conventional "wisdom" of the mainstream media. Just because one group owns all the microphones doesn't mean everything they say is the truth.

Yes, and he goes on by saying "So, any way you look at it, race is coming on the back-burner." It's an argument that, by the 1980s the main parties were no longer focusing on race in their campaigns, and that all that was left from that POV was a matter of voters still holding on to those issues and trying to figure out who was on their "side", more or less sub-consciously. He's responding to your implied argument (it was around back then, too!) by saying that some voters will always be trying to hear "dog-whistles" out of something, and that there isn't much you can do about it other than leading that attitude change in a proactive way and patiently waiting for the voters to follow.
Of course, most people who bring up that selective Atwater quote won't tell you that. Sadly, you've been misled by a piece of political propaganda. Here's a blogpost discussing that Atwater quote rather extensively: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2013/06/what-did-lee-atwater-re…

Kudos to you, this outbreak is showing that very few assumptions should be made.
Heck, I keep reading such crazy, Onion level stuff in the "right wing" alternative media sources I follow that I've been going to the primary sources to confirm that "yes, the CDC director really said that". Not that I really distrust those sources, aside from Drudge, which gets a little too enthusiastic with their summary headlines. It's just the "extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof". Which is seldom lacking.
On the "right wing" side I've caught only one case where my reading of the NIH historical budget charts didn't match the text claims (http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/10/a-word-on-the-nih-budget… After a steady, overall near doubling in constant dollars from FY94 to FY03, extra steep after 9/11, it's been in a slow and moderate constant dollar decline except for some big dollops from the stimulus bill, but it's not gone much below its FY01 level as of now, and its 70% above the FY94 level (again, in constant dollars). See http://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R43341.pdf
Which make that NIH guy;s "we would have an Ebola vaccine today if not for the eeeeevil Republicans" a clear lie. The NIH's remit is genuinely and legitimately very very broad, whereas the CDC's shouldn't be, it's all a matter of priorities, and even to this day, real work on Ebola is not a priority. Or perhaps I should put it this way, per robomartin's long essay…

James Risen has a checkered reporting background, to be sure. [1] There are all kinds of attacks on the press these days, and we are told to be afraid of attacks on the press. But the devaluation of the press is owed more to its own behavior than to that of its enemies. (In the U.S. Less so in Saudi, China, Russia)

A nice analysis of one politifact article:
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2017/02/trump-4-politifact-1.php
Note that there are many such examples. Another exceedingly silly piece:
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/jan/18/betsy-d…
It's almost like a child wrote it. It "fact-checks" a reasonable guess.

>That comment described an attitude that reaches the very top of the modern left, as the many accusations of sexism against anyone who didn't vote for Clinton show.
The modern left voted for, donated to and campaigned for Bernie, who also had the accusations of sexism slung at him. That was the establishment lashing out.
They also tested the anti-semitic accusations, though no doubt they fell flat because he was Jewish:

Pretty much every anti-establishment figure gets these attacks.

I have to wonder if claims of extreme sea rise like that are reality-based or pure fear-mongering. From a simple geometric analysis, it seems unlikely that the most outlandish claims could be correct - it takes an unbelievable fuck-ton of ice melting to raise sea levels even a little.

The ID process doesn't have to be perfect, just effective enough to curtail most attempts at fraud. If ID didn't work why do so many other nations require it for voting and why does the US use it for buying a beer.

Keep in mind its at least 400k, it does not include money given to PAC's or given directly to the DNC to get her elected via the victory for Hillary fund[0], also her foundation takes many questionable donations[1]. Add to that favors, like donating to allies campaigns, speaking fees, board postions and revolving door type jobs for friends.

And in the same time, IRS managed to give taxpayer data to FBI. Of course some very specific taxpayers have been included in the data dump:

Indeed, there are several examples of museum janitors from present day removing a portion of (or the whole) art thought to be trash.

This article completely destroy the CDC's report: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2021/08/more-voodoo-epidemiolog…
The CDC's report is a fantastic example as to why the CDC don't deserve our trust. They are dishonest. They cherry pick data to fit their narrative. They are unburdened by the constraints of peer review. They admit in their own study that it can't apply causation and yet they remain silent as the media run wild and report the study as causative fact.
This analysis has, to my knowledge, not been debunked at all: https://arieh.substack.com/p/inside-israels-delta-outbreak-part.
It shows natural immunity far outclassing vaccine immunity in Israel.
In terms of peer reviewed studies, they all show that natural immunity is fantastic:
