I think it's also worth reading "Why you should move that button 3px to the left"[0] article from Medium. [0] https://medium.com/design-startups/c012e5ad32f7

Rather relevantly, this article [1] was posted a few days ago. “In improvisational acting there is this great rule that I’ve used in my life: ‘Act As If’. Act as if this is completely normal. Of course I’m supposed to be interviewing Barack Obama. Of course I’m supposed to be playing guitar with Bruce Springsteen and of course there’s a big part of me inside that’s saying: ‘What are you talking about?’” It's been in the front of my head since I read it and, while I can't say I've passed any major coding interviews, it's certainly helped quell the screaming voice inside me that is the source of my constant anxiety. Thanks for the article Justin, I found it inspiring! I have a 3 year old who is almost beyond diapers, and who is requiring less time to put to bed, which I already see giving me more time for side projects. I've also found setting artificial constraints to side projects helps (to your point #1)...in my case, I set a goal of finishing 6 side projects in 6 months, each taking less than six hours (6x6x6: https://medium.com/design-startups/b602270880fd ); I got a bit stalled at the 5th project after taking a teaching job in addition to my startup gigs, but am still hoping to finish soon (may become 6x16(mo)x6).

Interesting read, but I would have to disagree. It's not difficult to reach 90% confidence with very a small sample size: - Variation A and B each receive 20 visits - Variation A receives 10 clicks while variation B receives 5 clicks - The confidence interval for Variation A is 90% (Source: https://mixpanel.com/labs/split-test-calculator) Also, I wrote an article titled "Creating Successful Product Flows" that is very relevant to this post: https://medium.com/design-startups/c41ffbce49a1
