Nice work on the project! Big fan of the graphics also :)
Reminds me of Divshot [0], a heroku-like service for hosting static sites. It's great that you can roll your own site, and don't need a middleman to host for you.

cpursely: Thanks for the kind recommendation!
OP: I'm one of the cofounders of Divshot and our entire platform was built to be the answer to this question. Fast static web hosting for developers.
We also support stuff like clean URLs (no .html at the end), pushState routing for single-page apps, staging environments built-in to every app, and more. I hope you'll take a look!

Jetstrap reminds me of Divshot - another great interface builder: http://www.divshot.com
Great job! Glad to see some startups out there trying to make it easier to create :)

This sounds like a great idea. I wasn't clear from the post: is this going to be a web app?
Is it similar to:
http://divshot.com
https://www.easel.io/bootstrap
http://jetstrap.com

Looks great! I'd be curious to know how it compares to Divshot (http://divshot.com)?
hospadam · 2012-09-25
I love the idea. This is a competitor that I've tried that has worked quite well so far - http://divshot.com/

My impression:
Free hosting: https://pages.github.com/ – currently using for a couple of sites and it works very
Paid hosting: https://divshot.com/ – thinking of using for some sites – mainly because I can get https on a custom domain there, which I can't at GitHub Pages
jchmura · 2014-11-05
I've used Divshot before and it works well for static apps.

podviaznikov · 2014-05-13
http://www.divshot.com/ - provides similar hosting for the static sites.
thruflo · 2014-04-06
I also believe in the technology and the general architecture you're espousing. I found the content on http://www.staticapps.org well written and constructive and the links to http://www.divshot.com are unobtrusive.
My reaction to http://www.divshot.com is something else entirely. To solve the "problem" of static file hosting and deployment with a service that is "compatible with Angular and Firebase" and supports "pushState with custom routes" is clearly disingenuous.
Not that there's anything wrong with effective marketing. If your target audience is people who don't know what the words mean, then knock yourself out.

http://divshot.com is a good tool, and it integrates with its own hosting platform as well at http://divshot.io
callmevlad · 2014-01-09
Yes, plenty: https://webflow.com (I work here), https://jetstrap.com, http://froont.com/, http://www.divshot.com/

We've done a request for Divshot (http://www.divshot.com/)?
Can you be more specific about which framework you need help with. We will connect you with someone who has the tech you want to work with => http://www.airpair.com/find-an-expert
michaelbuckbee · 2013-05-15
There are a number of sites/webapps that do this already. I think the fact that it is a standalone app is actually kind of refreshing and opens them up for things like inclusion in the Mac App store.
http://easel.io
http://divshot.com
http://jetstrap.com
All do this directly at:
http://www.bootstraphero.com/the-big-badass-list-of-twitter-bootstrap-…
There are a bunch of web apps that do aspects of this (button, form and theme builders).
kenshi · 2013-03-06
This is a big request and probably outside the scope you are thinking (but it shouldn't be): a WYSIWYG layout and editing mode.
Think something like [divshot](http://www.divshot.com) but more powerful, and built right into the browser.
Authoring web content should be a lot easier than it currently is.

Looks like there are now three serious competitors in this space:
- Jetstrap (http://jetstrap.com/)
- Divshot (http://divshot.com/)
- Easel (https://www.easel.io/)
I could see a company like Adobe wanting to get in on this.
rcsorensen · 2012-10-09
Great service.
The code generated out of Divshot really is very clean, with about zero regret for dropping it into an app.
They're iterating like mad and adding new features daily, out in public ( http://divshot.com/changelog ).
I can't wait for the targeting of this for tablets, so I can replace my wireframing and mockup tools there.
macournoyer · 2012-06-19
Take a look at http://divshot.com/. Someone pointed me to this today.
thekaleb · 2015-06-28
https://divshot.com seems reasonable

Have you tried divshot?

There are about a zillion drag & drop web designer tools out there, all with varying angles and subtly different markets. The ones I know of are:
https://divshot.com/features
http://www.appgyver.com/composer
https://polymer-designer.appspot.com/
http://www.weebly.com/
https://webflow.com/
http://froont.com/
http://www.google.com/webdesigner/
http://sparkle.cx/
There's also a bunch of desktop software that does this too - remember FrontPage and DreamWeaver?
I thought about getting into this market but it is so crowded that it's unlikely there'll be one clear winner. Instead, every designer seems to have their favorite tool.

Truly impressive. I'd also like to see the Rails team focus on Rails-as-API for those of us who have moved on from the asset pipeline (splitting the server side from client side).
It would be nice to have a "API only" flag option when generating a new rails project. Something like: `rails new myapp -api`. This could keep Rails going for another 10 years.
I'm looking into using Napa, a Grape based API framework, for the purpose of Ruby server-side API apps: https://github.com/bellycard/napa
(Napa is to Grape as Padrino is to Sinatra)

In Chrome Devtools debugger, you can click on the Async checkbox next to where the call stack is. So, when paused, you can see the full stack. (If you are not on the latest chrome, this might need to be enabled in experiments).
And this show why it is a bit difficult to choose what to show, among all the things from the call stack (including async stuff) that triggered something. For one thing you could possibly ignore libary code (e.g. http://www.divshot.com/blog/tips-and-tricks/ignoring-library-code-whil… ) but if you have a medium to big SPA with many backbone/wreqr events, let's say, you would still need to look in the stack manually.

Both Firefox and Chrome allow you to "blackbox" js files of your choice.

A set of other tools that also do the same thing :
http://www.webflow.com/
https://jetstrap.com/
http://www.divshot.com/

Lots of companies I know use a custom version of bootstrap as their styleguide/pattern library. I'd pay a lot for a functionality that can enable us to use our visually different bootstrap somehow to make dev ready UI.
That would be the most important differentiating feature for me. None of these do that
