Part 2: http://blog.launch.co/blog/google-wins-everything-part-two-how-to-be-a… Unfortunately it doesn't discuss any of the follow-up topics mentioned at the end of part 1.

At the risk of downvotes & personal dissonance (I love Android and Google search), I'd like to posit an alternate filter to apply to this news. Given (a) Google's inexorable rise and domination of more and more parts of the Internet & mobile [0], and (b) the unwillingness or inability of regulators around the world to apply any kind of checks to its scary clout, could this - Rockstar - be a kind of defensive mechanism from the industry itself? I'm not saying that Apple, Microsoft, RIM etc. are suing Google out of a greater sense of responsibility towards consumer choice, but can we not - as external observers - view their action as a countermeasure to one competitor's overwhelming clout? You sure about that? I haven't tried it in-person, but this description in the "First Encounter" seems to directly contradict what you said: http://blog.launch.co/blog/the-unbearable-wearable-google-glass-is-bri… How close do you need to be to see the flashing red light?

I am very curious about this. Does anyone have personal or even second-hand stories of a mental health professional for startups? I know of plenty of companies who do things to make employees "happy" - massages, free food, high salary - but I have never heard of a company directly focused on helping each employee have a sound mind. In my opinion, this just makes sense. Especially in a small startup, the stresses the team feels are well beyond what most employees are used to and there have been several accounts of the impact of that depression.[1] [2] Teaching employees effective strategies to deal with stress or even just to talk through and help manage other mental factors in their lives seems like a logical choice for success, but again I have never heard of it and would love to hear more. I think it's time for a serious YouTube competitor with more favorable terms for the content creators. Jason Calacanis seems very prescient now [0]. [0] http://blog.launch.co/blog/i-aint-gonna-work-on-youtubes-farm-no-more.…
