I've tried out almost all the available project management tools. Happy with: http://ganttpro.com - to build comprehensive project plans in seconds http://trello.com - to collaborate on projects better http://jira.com - to track bugs and improve development processes https://wunderlist.com - to easily manage my own tasks, track projects' progress and get the latest info about the stage of development The greatest disadvantage of these tools is that to cover all the aspects of my daily work, I have to use four of them, instead of using one.

Wunderlist (https://www.wunderlist.com/) sounds like something you are talking about.

It's been mentioned here already, but this is the evolution of Wunderlist. Which, apparently is being sunsetted at some point: > That said, Wunderlist and Wunderlist Pro will eventually be retired, but not before we incorporate your valued feedback and the best elements of the Wunderlist experience into To-Do. There won't be any new features brought to Wunderlist and Wunderlist Pro but we will continue to prioritize the security of your experience. In addition, we have built an importer to help you easily transfer your to-dos from Wunderlist or Todoist to To-Do. I was hoping for more power features in Wunderlist for business teams, considering that we recently started using it pretty heavily. At the moment, this seems pretty focused on individual use. https://www.wunderlist.com/blog/your-preview-of-microsoft-to-do/

Wunderlist was a gamechanger for me: https://www.wunderlist.com Still looking for an optimal solution for calendar though, and other information I keep in Dropbox, iCloud notes and on paper lists.

Did you take a look at Wunderlist? The common problems everyone faces at the beginning are: * Putting todo list items on the same system. * Making it a habit. Discipline and consistency are areas I'm always trying to work on personally (these will cause my end). The few times I was consistent, I just demolished whatever I was trying to do and felt like a 20GW laser pulverizing a problem. https://www.wunderlist.com/

There's definitely some overhead to start, but you don't have to do everything on day 1. You can simplify that a bit with existing GTD-friendly software. There are many, but one of the most popular is Wunderlist (https://www.wunderlist.com/). If you don't have time to sit down to read the book right now, here's a nice 15-minute overview - https://hamberg.no/gtd/.

I've tried a few and really like Wunderlist -- https://www.wunderlist.com

US based headquarters cannot transfer money from foreign sister companies back to US without paying tax, so they buy foreign companies. Wunderlist seems like one of many todo list apps: https://www.wunderlist.com/

I have found Wunderlist to be better suited for GTD than Evernote. http://www.wunderlist.com

Wunderlist is a good alternative. I'm a fan - syncs easily and well, you can create grouped lists if you want, star important items. Or just go super simple. Either way, it's pretty sweet. https://www.wunderlist.com/

I used long time http://www.wunderlist.com/. But I consider to switch over to https://app.organisedminds.com/. They have a very nice UI.

In most cases, I don't rely on my email inbox to track tasks. If an email requires follow up, I flag/star it and move on to the next email, circling back to handle the follow up whenever I intend. If it's something I don't anticipate handling that same work-day, I add a task to Things (https://culturedcode.com/things/) so I don't lose sight of it. You could just as easily use something like Wunderlist (https://www.wunderlist.com/en/) or even your smartphone's reminder/task list utility. The key is to keep the list simple. I drop these "daily" tasks on a task queue, ordered by priority. If I find something slipping down the queue too far (which implies it's been there too long), I'll either delegate it, or fire off a quick email to the person letting them know that I received their message, but haven't been able to take action on it. When I explain this to people, they insist that they're far too busy to handle their inbox/task flow like this. IMO, this is a good indication that you're overcommitted. If you can't keep a simple list of the things you need to do, then you're over-burdened, and you need some help. That or you're simply kidding yourself.

This is my current setup. The real essentials are Dropbox, ST2 and Homebrew, but these are all amazing pieces of software: - Sublime Text 2 editor (even has a vim mode) (http://www.sublimetext.com/2) - Sparrow, but you might be happy with the native Mail app (http://sparrowmailapp.com/) - Media: iTunes and Quicktime do a good job, VLC occasionally. - Handbrake for encoding (http://handbrake.fr) - Transmission (http://www.transmissionbt.com/) - Dropbox (http://getdropbox.com) - Cloud app: instant, easy uploads (http://getcloudapp.com) - Twitter's official client (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/twitter/id409789998) - CSS: uh? There is Coda/TopStyle/Espresso, but ST2 is enough - Github for Mac (http://mac.github.com) - Versions for SVN (http://versionsapp.com) - Sequel Pro (http://www.sequelpro.com/) - Homebrew package manager (http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/) - ImageOptim (http://imageoptim.com/) - CodeKit or LESS.app for LESS/Coffee compiling (http://incident57.com/codekit/) - MS Office: yeah (it's much better than the windows version). Just hide the cruft away (MSN etc) after installing. - Wunderlist to-do app (http://wunderlist.com) Nice to have / superfluous: - Mou markdown editor (http://mouapp.com/) - Cathode: vintage terminal emulator (http://www.secretgeometry.com/apps/cathode/) - Lidpop: make noises when you close/open your lid (https://shinyplasticbag.com/lidpop/)

The original company blog announcement (the canonical "Our Incredible Journey") is https://www.wunderlist.com/blog/join-us-on-our-new-journey/ Wunderlist has been absolutely awful for me the last 6 months or so. It crashes all the time on opening, and the syncing is so bad that sometimes items will disappear from a list immediately after I add them, then reappear a while later, on a single device. This is on an iPhone 6s; I'm not sure if it's always been this bad and I just didn't notice early on, or if something changed. The only thing keeping me on it is the fact that my wife is familiar with it too and we share a few grocery lists, which is extremely handy. What's with the video paired with the announcement? [1] It doesn't make any sense without the "moving" metaphor from the post, and even with it it's really strange. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOvU5iqjsBQ

Here is a little video of it in action: https://www.wunderlist.com/blog/your-preview-of-microsoft-to-do/motion… I see a lot of wasted space; none of my to-do items are short like "go to the store"... they have details like order numbers and certain contact details or instructions. Not sure this fluffy interface would work well with the rigors of my daily notes. I hope they thought of that. Has anyone used it yet?

Here's the Wunderlist announcement (I submitted it, but it looks like this one is more likely to be popular): https://www.wunderlist.com/blog/your-preview-of-microsoft-to-do/

They have 10 million users, so it's fair price to pay I guess https://www.wunderlist.com/world-productivity-report/

I like Wunderlist. Cross platform, syncs and all kinds of other goodies. Can send to-do items to other people via their email addresses also. https://www.wunderlist.com/en/
