The creator, Thomas Park (http://thomaspark.co/) is also the author of the similar and similarly excellent Flexbox Froggy: http://flexboxfroggy.com/

My kids love Duolingo so I just started turning their spelling lists into this: https://thomaspark.co/projects/cleolingo/
Without Claude so it took much longer than 10 minutes.

Yes, they did eventually. If I'm understanding correctly, the original design used a simple funnel shape with 45 degree sides (suitable for the resource-limited systems of the day), and when they eventually re-implemented it they used a funnel defined by the left hand corners of the submenu, as per the Amazon design. (See the large animgif halfway down https://thomaspark.co/2011/10/making-menus-escapable/ )

There are only two certainties in life:
1. There’s an xkcd for that
2. Simpsons did it

Since the article has no examples that show how this worked, here's a CSS simulation of two fold-ins for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of folding the back page of their Mad Magazine: https://thomaspark.co/2020/06/the-mad-magazine-fold-in-effect-in-css/
(Note the bottom copy before/after as well.)

I actually like the HTML/CSS solution too.

It's more difficult but I feel like there's a lot more potential.

I made this to scratch an (admittedly very mild) itch I've had for some time. But I'm betting some of you have had the same itch.
I posted some details about GlyphSearch here: http://thomaspark.me/2013/11/glyphsearch-improving-the-search-for-icon…

Not really. It changes the background colour of the album view , see http://thomaspark.me/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/itunes11.png

Yes, the score became red according to hnslapdown [1]. It has happened to the previous rounds, and we suspect those who can downvote stories don't feel these updates have merit. So be it. We do enjoy the feedback from readers that we receive from the brief time they appear on the home page, so as long as they will permit us to share the updates here, we will continue doing so.
If you want to participate in a longer-form discussion about the project, we invite you to join the Google Group [2].

Except there does seem to be one old duplicate of the exact `http://crapcha.com/` one. Perhaps it allows a re-post after enough time has elapsed.
