"The truth is the best people in chip design no longer want to work at Intel or Qualcomm. They want to work at Apple" http://stevecheney.com/on-apples-incredible-platform-advantage/

It's probably not the greatest bet either. Apple seems to be moving as much of their chip design in house. I'd bet many of these things will be on custom SOCs and Apple-designed chips a few years from now. Related: http://stevecheney.com/on-apples-incredible-platform-advantage/

The multiple term sheet negotiation strategy is generally a myth. [1] Most startups even the ones that are decently successful would be lucky to even get 1 given the enormous time sink (and seems to be corroborated by the data in the blog post - 30(+15+5) meetings for 1 term sheet!) Also remember you have atmost a week to accept it. (Unless of course you are piedpiper ;) [1]https://stevecheney.com/on-vc-startup-myths/

Here's a first-hand account (I'm assuming it's related due to similarities): https://stevecheney.com/handcuffed-and-under-surveillance/ Sounds awful.
