Solus[1] has a good reputation for gaming in my experience.

Not interested in Elementary OS at all, but I do keep an eye on Solus https://solus-project.com
(Well, there's also http://papyros.io, but I'm not confident that it will amount to anything)
BTW, that practice of making keywords (which often repeat throughout the text) into links (often to your own damn blog) is abhorrent.

If you want the absolute easiest to deal with experience, try https://elementary.io or https://solus-project.com or https://linuxmint.com - if you want relatively easy with the latest packages, go with https://antergos.com

There is a (growing) repository of software packages and the developers are open to sensible package requests[1]. So far I've found that almost everything I needed was already in the Solus repository.

It looks like they have developed their own desktop environment based on GNOME technologies.
