From a few years ago with a Thumb Zone Heat Map - https://www.scotthurff.com/posts/how-to-design-for-thumbs-in-the-era-o… (searching around, this appears to be the source since other blog posts that include it or mention it with attribution have 'Based on Scott Hurffs "How to design for thumbs in the era of huge screens"'

I can also hold them for you while switched on without issue. I photographed them switched off because it was faster to do it this way, as otherwise I’d first have to power them on and set them up. But notice the Moto G (2014) in the album, which is on, and doesn’t show interference. Or,look at this helpful graphic Scott Hurf made http://scotthurff.com/images/posts/thumb-zone-2/thumb-zones-lineup.png

Those diagrms come from here: http://scotthurff.com/posts/how-to-design-for-thumbs-in-the-era-of-hug… though even there I cannot find any explanation for "ow-space". Maybe a reference to some game?
