Scarfolk Council
scarfolk.blogspot.com · Personal blog · on HN since 2015
An anonymous author writes a parody blog about Scarfolk, a fictional English town stuck in 1979, with fake 1970s public information posters and leaflets.
What HN saysHN commenters call it one of the best parody sites, praising its convincing period design, though some say its dystopian jokes now resemble real government behavior.

Oh this is delightful. Scarfolk Council is one of the best parody sites I've ever seen, their dystopian recreations of 70s public information posters, books and toys are perfect with just the right fonts, colours and layouts. Too perfect apparently!
If you were around in the 70s and 80s you should visit. https://scarfolk.blogspot.com/

Yes Scarfolk used to be a great dystopian humour outlet - today it seems more and more like a training manual for government.

Whenever I leave a job, or an office closes down, I print up a few copies of the Kak poster, and leave them hidden around:

I've also gotten the Scarfolk book, and it is genuinely a weirdly creepy piece of art.

Albion Estate looks like something from "Years and Years" (it comes a couple of years before the latter):
