I would also look at http://testling.com/ and https://saucelabs.com/. Not sure which is best for this kind of testing, but those are two more I'm aware of.

+ Our browser based testing service is also available at http://saucelabs.com
+ We have an accountless version on the front page, followed by free and open source accounts.
+We have a very secure and mature tunneling system called Sauce Connect: http://www.saucelabs.com/docs/connect
Five minutes of research would have been helpful.

There is also http://saucelabs.com/ and https://www.browserstack.com/ who have real devices and allow you to run automated tests.

Sauce Labs | Developers, sales, support, more | Berlin and SF | Onsite usually
I work for the Berlin office of Sauce Labs (nee TestObject), and we provide a testing platform for app developers. Perform manual or live tests on a large library of Android and iOS devices.
We work mostly in Java, with a lot of low level device work trying to keep devices reliable and clean for our users. I love my job, my coworkers, and would love to answer any questions about the job.
Our jobs page is here: https://testobject.workable.com/
And our parent company Sauce Labs has a bunch more jobs in SF: https://saucelabs.com/company/careers

You can use BrowserStack (https://www.browserstack.com/) or Sauce Labs (https://saucelabs.com/) to test with Safari.
BrowserStack supports Safari 10 now (https://www.browserstack.com/list-of-browsers-and-platforms?product=li… Sauce Labs only lists up to Safari 9 currently (https://saucelabs.com/platforms#macos).

The actual IE for Mac has died long ago and was barely related to IE for Windows anyway. If you mean current versions, try something like Saucelabs interactive sessions. They offer many different OS/browser combinations in VMs and even their free offering is plenty for light use. https://www.saucelabs.com/ for more...
In more limited form, Microsoft have their own freely downloadable VMs for certain versions of IE, though there are some tricky licensing issues, the VMs expire, and it's all quite cumbersome. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=21EABB90-9…
For really basic tests, there's also the IE net renderer at http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/

The true value (something I'm working on at the moment) is integrating this with Sauce (https://saucelabs.com/) to run in multiple browsers continuously.

"In exchange, we just ask that you agree you will only use this account for your OSS project(s) and that all of your test results (videos, screenshots, and the Selenium log) will be publicly accessible"
This sounds great, but I couldn't find a listing of these resources anywhere, which would be great to have. The Open Sauce page [1] has a listing of some of the projects taking advantage of this service but no links to the actual test results etc. Does this exist, and if not can someone put it together?

I was a bit worried about how this would work on a company intranet. I know my IT network security people are pretty paranoid about bridge networks and all that. Looking at Sauce Connect[1], they recommend to put the service on a dedicated machine on your intranet that you can zone off so it only has access to the parts of the network you want to allow.
Seems like a decent solution to allow a running a cloud service behind a firewall.

We do most of our testing through cloud-hosted VMs now, like http://browserstack.com and http://saucelabs.com
Sauce also lets you set up selenium/WebDriver testing so you can automate it.
randren · 2012-11-15
No per-minute plan, but Saucelabs gives you 30 minutes per month for free. $12/month for unlimited. It works great.

http://saucelabs.com/ provides this setup as a service. And theirs is much more sophisticated, with screenshots and videos of failed tests.
astrofinch · 2010-10-14
>I believe, and you'll call me crazy, but the indicator for this second trend will be a focus on automated testing (not just unit testing) and operations cost at consumer internet companies. Right now I think maybe 5% or 10% of consumer internet companies even run one bit of test automation, hell automation at all. Look for this as an indicator that they've figured out automation reduces costs and increases agility.
http://saucelabs.com/ is a company I know of in this space, but their product SUCKS (on Ubuntu/Firefox at least) and they didn't respond to my complaint emails (or fulfill their promise to remind me to cancel my trial subscription before I had to start paying for it). If someone wants to do automated browser testing right that would be awesome.

Sauce Labs ( http://saucelabs.com ) - automated functional testing with Selenium
epall · 2010-08-30
check out http://saucelabs.com/! Write your scripts with Selenium RC, run them against any browser, and get screenshots of every important steup.

I created the Selenium project 6 years ago. These days, I'm working on my own Selenium-based startup, Sauce Labs ( http://saucelabs.com ) -- We offer commercial support for Selenium and have a cloud-based web app testing service, too, called Sauce OnDemand.
Regarding Google, you might be thinking of the on-going merger between the Selenium and the WebDriver projects. WebDriver was created by Googler Simon Stewart. He currently works at Google, but WebDriver was created when Simon was still at ThoughtWorks. Also, I am a former Googler (and former ThoughtWorker), and worked on Selenium during my time at both places.
sachinag · 2009-10-23
If you don't want to set up Selenium yourself, you can use http://saucelabs.com/, which does it in the cloud for you. hugs (Jason Huggins) pops up here on HN from time to time, as well.

From talking to him recently in person, he's just super busy with his startup, which is taking off: http://saucelabs.com/

Sauce Labs - http://saucelabs.com/ - San Francisco, Vancouver, or remote - Software Engineer, Mobile R&D
We're making mobile devices do things they aren't supposed to. We need your help.
People from many different backgrounds will be considered, because most of these things have never been done before anyway. What we're doing combines Selenium/Appium testing, cloud engineering, networking, virtual machines, LXC containers, Android, iOS, python scripting, you name it. If you have a couple of those things under your belt, and you're smart and not afraid of doing hard detective work sometimes, I encourage you to apply. Previous work with a small team in a startup environment is preferred.
We're very active in open source communities.
Also, of all the places I've ever worked (including the allegedly "don't be evil" one), this place is the most serious about values and integrity. We have a huge opportunity in front of us, but we also want to work with people who share those values.
