The first thing is think about who your audience is and what kind of connection they are trying to make with you when they view your about page. An about page for a startup, a freelancer, a blog, etc will all have different audiences and different goals. If you are a startup, your audience will likely be potential and current customers, journalists with press inquiries, and possibly people looking to fund you. They will want to know why they should use your product, what makes your company/product unique, who are the people behind it, etc. I'm currently redoing my own about page, and have gathered a few helpful links: For startups: http://www.readwriteweb.com/start/2010/08/what-does-your-about-us-page… For freelancers, but contains some great general tips too: http://www.onextrapixel.com/2010/09/06/how-to-write-an-effective-about… Good general tips: http://sixrevisions.com/content-strategy/about-page-guidelines/

>The color yellow can affects us mentally and physically which includes stimulating our mental and nervous system, activates our memory, and encourages communication. Golden yellow carries the promise of a positive future, and spreads its cheer. Especially since yellow shines its optimism, enlightenment, and happiness upon us. Yellow stands out from other colors, and with the support of other lively colors, it can spark one’s creativity while invigorating one’s spirit. In fact, people who suffer from mild cases of color blindness can usually see the color yellow more easily than other colors. https://onextrapixel.com/anatomy-of-colors-in-web-design-yellow-and-th… https://designmodo.com/yellow-color/

Are you talking about Zurb's grid system[0] specifically, or referring to Zurb/Bootstrap as "grid systems"? If it's the latter, a simple Google search for "how to use Bootstrap" turns up a lot of resources, including this one[1], which looks good. You might be able to find Foundation-specific ones, but Bootstrap seems to have the edge in popularity. If they're marked up well in a page they can be beneficial for SEO, or used as a short summary of the expected content of the website/purpose of the business. A lot of website use them in the page title as well as being displayed in the header: Page name | Site: Tagline Some examples: - Smashing Magazine — For Professional Web Designers and Developers - The Next Web - International technology news, business & culture Some interesting articles: - http://www.onextrapixel.com/2013/01/14/effective-website-taglines-gett… - http://www.simplewebsiteservice.com/how-to-write-a-tagline/ - http://www.toprankblog.com/2009/07/blog-taglines/ - http://intuitivewebsites.com/articles/website-taglines/
