Python for Engineers

new.pythonforengineers.com · Personal blog · on HN since 2021

Shantnu Tiwari writes about Python, test automation, and programming careers, with occasional posts on AI, cloud services and games.

What HN saysHN links it for the author's posts and job listing; commenters question a hostile-looking Gemini screenshot and a broken payment page, and one cites a confessional post.

Wow you're right: https://new.pythonforengineers.com/content/images/size/w1000/2024/02/C… With a title like that, I have to suspect that the author is intentionally inputting inflammatory things to try to get Gemini to be blocked by safety policies. It's hard to think of an innocent explanation for that title, in the context of what the author claims to be testing. Thanks for spotting.

It seems that on the last screengrab [0] it may have been that the payment system is loaded in an iframe right in the white overlay and that your ad/script blocker stopped that. But overall, that's one terrible experience and just false advertising if you ask me? [0] https://new.pythonforengineers.com/content/images/size/w1000/2022/07/i…

Yep. Here: https://new.pythonforengineers.com/blog/build-a-reddit-bot-part-1/ I am not a fan sir but an admirer of work that teaches and helps others. Btw, if you're into PRAW, you may find this helpful as well: https://pythonprogramming.net/introduction-python-reddit-api-wrapper-p…

I pass no judgment, but merely take the developer at his word: https://new.pythonforengineers.com/blog/confessions-of-a-1x-programmer…
