What HN people wrote when they linked it

I think the best part is how short and elegant it is. I assume a lot of people won’t realize you can bookmark that URL since it looks so weird. Also, once you’re bookmarking, you can cheat and put more logic into the page. I made a slightly improved one with a dark background and larger font (hard to post the link on HN, so on a separate page): http://mrcoles.com/one-line-browser-notepad-bookmark/

But how are you going to replace the OG? https://mrcoles.com/dragondrop/ (Ironically doesn’t work on mobile)

Turn each one of these to a browser bookmarklet using a template like https://github.com/oxalorg/sakura/blob/master/src/bookmarklet.js with https://mrcoles.com/bookmarklet/ edit: found this to be useful for testing https://dohliam.github.io/dropin-minimal-css/

Yes, the article actually links to a demo of this technique! https://mrcoles.com/demo/markdown-css/

Hey Simon, Hmmm, you're right about the IE issues (http://mrcoles.com/blog/cookies-max-age-vs-expires/). I haven't looked into how possible/hard expires would be in nginx config, but you could probably hack it in with http://wiki.nginx.org/HttpUserIdModule
