The Motorola blog post says "starting at $649" http://motorola-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/nexus-6-from-google-and-mo… This was the most disappointing thing for me. While it might be a fantastic device, and I might still choose it, at that price I'll be more carefully considering the alternatives. The Nexus 5, with its specifications and price point, was a no-brainer. This one doesn't make that decision quite to simple.

Look, I know standards are pretty low in the advertorial mill that laughingly passes itself off as tech journalism, but does no one proofread even the bolded attention-getting text, much less articles, any more? Current lead-in to the source article: "As a Google Google company, Motorola's Moto X design wow'd reviewers and consumers. Now part of Lenovo, Motorola's and new supply chain extends its proven design with very competitive prices." Motorola was "Google Google company"? "Motorola's and new supply chain"? The article's not much better. Why not just link to the official announcement blog post from Motorola [0] rather than something that's just as much of an ad, contains less substantive information about the products, and is less readable? "Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order through the Google Play Store in late October starting at $649." This is from Motorola http://motorola-blog.blogspot.fr/2014/10/nexus-6-from-google-and-motor…

Motorola will also update their older phones to Lollipop. Including Moto X and G starting with the 1st gen. http://motorola-blog.blogspot.com/2014/10/its-official-android-50-loll…

If you're looking for a video like I was, there's one on their blog post: http://motorola-blog.blogspot.com/2014/03/moto-360-its-time.html It's light on product shots, however.

"All day battery" - that really is the top selling point! Imagine that, a phone that works all day, no babysitting needed! People will flock in vast hordes to buy this baby, and just for this one feature. 'web' rather than 'mobile' version of page: http://motorola-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/introducing-moto-g-excepti…

From the official Motorola Blog: > "A module can be anything, from a new application processor to a new display or keyboard, an extra battery, a pulse oximeter--or something not yet thought of!" [1] So it doesn't seem too-far removed from the original Phonebloks concept. And you can't really tell me that had this new version been presented as the original, we wouldn't have seen the same feedback. So this is the first I've heard of the upcoming NFC plastic tokens which automatically keep your phone unlocked. If you're too busy to build those Moto, I could handle that for you. And I'm in the Chicago area... [Edit] Looks like they are just making an appearance today. Motorola Skip. Also comes with three dots (NFC stickers) to put by your bedside, etc. http://motorola-blog.blogspot.com/2013/08/hello-skip-goodbye-pin-intro…
