Check out the Dole corporation to see how evil can they actually be - https://medium.com/age-of-awareness/the-dark-and-bloody-history-behind… Nestle with the classic baby formula marketing to 2nd/3rd world countries, chinese milk scandal etc and probably most other multinationals are in the same league.

I think there's something to comparing education (especially when delivered remotely) to YouTube. There's a huge variance between the teaching skills of teachers, just as there is variance between how entertaining YouTubers are. The difference is, the best teachers get paid the same as average ones, while nobody knows the name of an average creator.
I wrote briefly about the topic in a blog post, titled "Professors as Creators". It explores the idea briefly, and how treating teachers as "creators" could add value not just to remote learning, but to in-person lessons as well. https://medium.com/age-of-awareness/professors-as-creators-how-the-cre…

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but climate change is probably a solvable problem with the right technology.
My personal favorite idea is a giant set of solar shades [1]. I guess for that you should be watching for starship news at something like [2].
Other examples of relevant technology would include things include like fusion, superconductors (which are really a subset of fusion ;)), co2 extraction (which only makes sense if you have excess energy), and so on.

Us 3 friends built connecting cities in SimCity 2013 ("one of the most disastrous launches in history" [0]). Unintentional but maybe by unconscious belief in how things should be, each of our 3 cities reflected our understanding of what work and production should be like:
- (mine, software engineer) city life, large middle class, high taxes, some luxury districts
- (environmental city planner) Almost entirely renewable energy, vast public transit, living and jobs spread evenly on the map
- ([company redacted] clerk) giant coal mine in the center of the city, mass low-end housing, unchecked health issues, ruled by iron fist

Edit: redacted company name due to people really liking their samples.

A sibling comment mentioned this comment being weird. It strikes me as "weird" too. That doesn't mean it is not relatable. But if you are also struck by what is weird about this comment, you might enjoy taking a look at: https://medium.com/age-of-awareness/inspiration-porn-c08b419d35c9 (which links to Stella Young's TEDx presentation).

The headcount is justified by the fact that it's a multimillion dollar for-profit corporation.
The multimillion dollar aspect seems to be due to a number of factors, but a large part seems to be the absolutely-scammy "chip-in" request, where they ask petition-signers for money, clearly designed to make them feel like they are donating to the cause, but instead it's simply a promise to display the petition more prominently within the change.org website.
I think it's basically a scam.
