>"However, further research showed that this domain hosts the code of an anti-adblocking startup Admiral"
Who goes to work for an anti ad blocking startup? What is their mission statement "to make the web a more intrusive place"?
I am OK with Ads and understand their purpose in the business model. The reason I use and ad blocker is because of how intrusive they are to consuming actual content. You can subscribe yes but you will still get intrusive ads:

They are DNG files, but I don't think they're truly raw like one might expect from other cameras[1]. I just downloaded the DNG posted in the article and took a look in Photoshop with all post-processing turned off. Definitely looks a bit processed in some of the background details, but I could be wrong.
Specifically, the out-of-focus shadow details look like a smoothing or denoising algorithm has been applied. Maybe it's just something about the optics Apple is using (e.g. different lenses can have distinct characteristics in bokeh, softening, color, distortion, etc) vs other dedicated cameras, but it's something I see in almost all photos coming from an iPhone.

Wires don't always work.
If you think wires always work, you've never dealt with the vagaries of SCSI or FibreChannel or even 10gigabit ethernet. Hell Benson Leung became net famous for reviewing all the problems with USB cables (https://kirkville.com/google-employee-reviews-usb-c-cables-on-amazon-t… let alone the insanity between USB devices (and this was before the whole USB 3, USB 3.1, USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.1 Gen 2, and USB 3.2 fiasco).

I think this post is better off linking to the original (Kirk’s): https://www.kirkville.com/apples-measure-app-and-accuracy/
It took me a full minute to figure out how to get to it from loopinsight, and I don’t think loopinsight provides any additional “insight” at all...

Time Machine server is now built-in into macOS... it used to be part of macOS server but Apple recently moved it to standard macOS. Personally I have a Mac Mini being used as a Plex Server and now as a Time Machine server too.
Instructions on how to activate it:

Apple posted its first full-year iPad sales dip in fiscal 2014. Unit sales slipped 4% that year, while revenue fell 5%.
The sales declines accelerated thereafter. In fiscal 2015, unit sales plunged 19% and revenue dropped by 23%. In fiscal 2016, unit sales fell another 17%, while revenue tumbled 11%. Double-digit declines along both metrics continued in the first quarter of fiscal 2017.
The net result is that Apple shipped just 42.6 million iPads during the 2016 calendar year, down about 40% from the peak a few years ago. https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/02/19/is-the-ipad-dead.aspx

In an interview with The Telegraph, Cook said, "I think if you're looking at a PC, why would you buy a PC anymore? No really, why would you buy one?"
He continued: "Yes, the iPad Pro is a replacement for a notebook or a desktop for many, many people. They will start using it and conclude they no longer need to use anything else, other than their phones." http://uk.businessinsider.com/apple-ceo-tim-cook-why-would-you-buy-a-p…
