I see that many people are asking for examples.
Zalando is doing this for couple of years now, you can look at their talk [1] where they describe how they use this pattern + some open source libs for composing those UI components [2]
Many other components of this kind of infrastructure are described and linked here [3]

And you don't understand the purpose of JWTs.
No one needed to mention anything about stateless authentication because enabling stateless authentication is the purpose of JWTs [1].
Yes, just store a signed cookie with a random token for the session and use stateful authentication. That fits most people's needs better than stateless. (Even signing is more or less optional in many common cases. If the cookie is only a sufficiently long random token for the session key, then I don't really care if a user changes it, they'll only log themselves out.)

Re implicits and their interplay with macros: Achieving 3.2x Faster Scala Compile Time
Diagnostics:
- A method takes an implicit parameter to be filled in by the compiler
- the Scala compiler synthesizes an argument for that parameter using macros
- instead of using an existing value in the implicit scope
Conclusion: that's why a small source file took so long to typecheck.

Interesting article I read from Zalando, which in the same vein as the Learned Indexes paper, takes a previously computationally expensive routine (Optimal Cart Pick) and learns it as an approximation to a complex function that, in the end, has faster run-time.
