A new startup by Julien Smith. I've talked to him about this, it sounds like a necessary idea. Relaxing spaces to rent for work or rest, across North America. From what I've seen so far, his execution is good.
Julien's the co-author of Trust Agents and author of Flinch. Launching a startup was not an obvious move for him as a non-technical solo founder, but he's a very perceptive, creative guy. I think this one's worth watching.

Zeitgeisty at the moment: "being awesome"

I do think its good to overcome the shortcomings hamstringing your happiness.
Still; There is a striking similarity between Atwood's and Smith's blog-post, besides the central message. Both refer to a big success in their own field (Stackoverflow / Best selling book). I'm wondering if they would've reached their "serenity of awesomeness", if it wasn't for this ...

Seems nice, though a bit slow.
When copying quotes it would be even nicer if you could keep the formatting from the website. Bold text, lists etc. should be preserved when presented on your site.
I thought the screenshot feature could have been a useful alternative, but for certain pages it doesn't really work: http://inoveryourhead.net/20-things-i-should-have-known-at-20/ - I'm not sure it can be solved in general. Maybe it is possible to run it through readability before taking the screenshot.

The OP link now leads to a different blog post. This seems to be the listed post:

Liked it, but he kind of goes against himself:
"Otherwise known as morons on the internet telling me about the world like they know better. God, these people are unbelievable"

ops..

This isn’t a permalink, and it took me forever to find one (neither title nor date are permalinks? conventions mean nothing?)
Submission URL should be changed to: http://inoveryourhead.net/20-things-i-should-have-known-at-20/
