Log4J is one such example outside the HFT realm.

And Spring Reactor uses the disruptor as it's default async processor.
Disruptor looks like great fit for IoT and msg-relay (think whatsapp) workloads

This really seems like mostly an ego problem, or maybe I see it that way because that's the hammer in my hand.
I would recommend reading this article by Chris Grobmeier: https://www.grobmeier.de/the-10-rules-of-a-zen-programmer-03022012.htm…
The philosphy in it is a good counter to most of the points mentioned in the post.

Very good resource!
I wrote a couple of AngularJS posts myself, hopefully you think they are worth adding:

I've never heard of this but the 10 rules of a Zen program are very poorly written.

I found two glaring mistakes very quickly, which makes me wonder how many mistakes are in this book.
1. Focus
" You’ll not become quicker, just you work multithreaded."
3. Beginners Mind
"Remember the days were you were a beginner."

Sums up what I wanted to do. I think in this particular instance things have moved on and it may be easy these days, but thinking about what would have happened if I'd had to figure out that code myself, I could envision spending a day or two figuring out how to add something that is a one-liner in jQuery. It made me nervous about "unknown unknowns", too, whereas pjax is pretty easy to reason about.

>Angular.js. Now this is more like it in terms of magic. Then, the other day, I decided to add a date picker to one of my forms. Uh oh: http://www.grobmeier.de/angular-js-binding-to-jquery-ui-date... - how many lines of code just to make it a date picker? I couldn't have written that code myself without several more days of banging my head. Wonder what'd happen if I really try and do something it doesn't agree with... So out the window with that for the time being.
To be fair, you can just use Angular UI as that article says:
<input ng-model="date" ui-date> for a date picker and the ui-jq directive for any other jQuery plugin.
