That blog may have the worst design for a Blogspot blog that I have ever seen. What were they thinking?
EDIT: I guess I'm getting downvotes for this so others must disagree. Make sure to go to the homepage (http://googlevoiceblog.blogspot.com/) for the full effect. For me it is almost unreadable.

I actually think this related announcement is cooler: http://googlevoiceblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/sprint-integrates-google-v…
"So now, calls to your Sprint mobile number can easily be answered from your office or your home phone, or even your computer through Gmail."
Sprint has, in the past, had its own services that would compete with this. That they're opening their network to an outside solution is great for customers. It is probably a sign of Sprint's weakness in the market that they're willing to do it, but I hope they will be rewarded with some customer share for doing this.

If someone attempts to send your Google voice number an MMS you will receive a notification about the message and the image will be sent to your email address.

If sent from a Sprint phone, yes.

I thought Google Voice has been doing this for nearly a year and a half. Maybe not using the same C2DM framework you and I can use, but it certainly seems like they are using a push protocol like Google Talk & Gmail on Android use and are not polling all the time.
edit: it also looks like Facebook has been using C2DM since an update in December of last year:

If that is indeed the only thing stopping you from using it, you can port your existing number to Google Voice.

Many articles here by Android fans say iPhone's Gmail experience is better than Android's. If you want real time push, you just need to switch it on.
For Google Voice, try an HTML 5 app:

Sync using Google Sync, ActiveSync(Exchange), or MobileMe.

They do, but not for all features:

3) Google beat you to it: http://googlevoiceblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/google-voice-for-iphone-an…

Exactly. This is why it's better to link to the original material instead of some sensationalist headline.
