> My guess is forms hosted elsewhere loaded in via JS? Anyone have recommendations on what service to use for this? I've been using this for years: https://formspree.io/ It's been simple and reliable for me and you can use it as just a regular <form> without JS.

This is great. I've used https://formspree.io before, but it was a headache to obfuscate the emails, so your alias functionality looks awesome. Do you have any sending limits and/or future plans for monetizing the service?

You can use a custom domain with github pages so nobody would know the difference, plus the housing is free. I use this in conjunction with CloudFlare [1] for free partial SSL and Formspree [2] for free static email capabilities. I would make a simple medium/markdown styled page and all you have to do for blogging is reuse the same frame, write your content, update the meta tags, and add a link to your blogging page. It may take about 5 more minutes per post you make, but in the end I think it's worth it considering how much faster your site will load with the static content. I'm using https://formspree.io/ with our new static website. I put the form URL as the action attribute in the HTML form tag, and it just works.

I've been using this service for years: https://formspree.io/ -- they do a decent job of preventing spam as well.

Seems similar to Formspree[0], which one can self-host[1], but lacks the aliasing feature of your solution. Looks very cool! [0]: https://formspree.io [1]: https://github.com/formspree/formspree

I use Formspree [0] for GitHub Pages hosted stuff, and it is dead simple. I've never been spammed, as it requires a human click ("I'm not a robot") for the email to send. [0] https://formspree.io

Thanks, also a big TypeForm fan. For the future, there's also a variety of other similar form forwarding services like this if you don't want to run your own. Like Formspree (https://formspree.io) for example.

We've been using it on https://formspree.io/ and Trello handles it well up to 100 or more cards on the screen. If you archive the cards, however, either at the time you reply or periodically ("Archive all cards in this list"), it will be much easier and Trello can handle practically unlimited archived cards.

I liked the project. I still use http://formspree.io/ on one of my servers and I don't plan to remove it. Thank you for your good work.

How's this better/different then Formspree (https://formspree.io/) or Sent API (http://sentapi.com)?
codelitt · 2015-06-25
You're absolutely right. You could. You could also use https://formspree.io/ which is quite good.

This is just for my personal website. It is mostly the SPAM. I started with the usual simple `contact.php` that emails me when someone fills the form. Then for the longest time, Wufoo[1] (a hosted service) took care of my contact form but I could no longer deal with the spam. I tried Formspree[2] as the free tier API works good enough for my personal use. Then stop dealing with it due to spam, again. I remember using Tally[3] but gave up and ended up with a `mailto:` and asking Cloudflare to obfuscate[4] the email for robots. I just no longer deal with forms, or comments on my website -- just that -- a personal choice. Forms are the de-facto use cases for any web property. It looks and functions simple but someone has to maintain it and keep up-keeping it. It is no longer simple. 1. https://www.wufoo.com 2. https://formspree.io 3. https://tally.so 4. https://developers.cloudflare.com/waf/tools/scrape-shield/email-addres…

Is this in any way different then https://formspree.io/ ?
viraptor · 2016-10-22
I use https://formspree.io and I'm quite happy with it.

A similar tool is https://formspree.io/

Formspree has a free plan, 50 subs/month: https://formspree.io/plans . No ads either. I'm in a similar situation, a site with one form submission a month (https://ukcompanydatabase.com) , and it works like a charm.

Congrats on launching, but what differentiates this for the 10+ other services that do exactly the same thing (with pretty much the exact same features)? https://formkeep.com/ https://getform.io/ https://formsubmit.io/ https://www.formbucket.com/ https://www.staticforms.xyz/ https://formspree.io/ etc
