Several people have posited that Jobs should stay well back from the limelight, for just such a reason: Why Steve Jobs Shouldn’t Return to Apple http://db.tidbits.com/article/11981

sigh Not to continue this off-topic digression too much further, but a Mac Pro running OS X Server is in no way a replacement for an "enterprise" XServe deployment. For a full explanation, see this TidBITS article: http://db.tidbits.com/article/11735 tl;dr version: The Mac Pro takes up 4x the rack space and lacks hot-swappable power supplies and drive bays, making it an awful fit for most 24x7 server environments.

It's always wise to exercise discretion: http://db.tidbits.com/article/8886 Yes, that Randall Schwartz.

The problem is that I don't want to disable the acceleration entirely, I just want a _different_ acceleration curve: http://db.tidbits.com/article/8893 I'm not sure if this command will help with that. But in any case, I'm sold on the trackpad now, and I'm not going back. :)

"Most people that have handled an iPad dismiss that it's just a larger iPod Touch" Is that a typo ("have handled" -> "haven't handled")? Because reports of actual hands-on use I've read have been glowing. First example I found from google: The iPad is something to be held and experienced, because so many of its advantages are tactile: how it feels in the hand, of course, but also how the software responds. http://db.tidbits.com/article/10624 FTA "In the end, the main thing that I've noticed in the last few days is that it is much easier for me to concentrate on a single task when I can quickly hide all unrelated applications and show just the one or two that I need right now. I'm finding that this method works better for me than Spaces, and I am a big fan of Spaces."
