as a new manager, had the same exact idea and found a few companies in this space[0][1] (and now this one too) ultimately decided there's just too many competitors. my only gripe with all of these is that they're heavily subscription based/pay to use monthly, etc. i want something more personal that i can just purchase for like $10-20 (more like an app on my mac that i can just use forever) my other gripe is that i don't want to have to onboard my entire team onto it. i want to only use it myself as like a reference guide for the health gauge of my team. i dont need them all inputting their OKRs into these products [0] https://www.15five.com/ [1] https://www.small-improvements.com/

a very interesting space and solution. I think that it would be beneficial to the entire vessel to give the crew a voice via a feedback loop with something like https://www.15five.com/. You could encourage them to root out potential problems and uncover opportunities to help the crew perform better. A comparison is that a non-obvious thing may come forward once a feedback loop is provided. Having a voice alone will improve moral. It will also provide you with crew support which will then translate to wanting to have your solution onboard the next ship they are on. A bottom up marketing strategy that then can be turned into a benefit that a ship provides as an incentive to join.

The company I work at uses https://www.15five.com/ for reviews and 1-on-1s. It has a “High Five” feature to recognise big or small things anyone in the company has done to help. It's low friction and it works well. They hook it up to a Slack channel for a steady stream of positivity, and its read by senior execs and mentioned during reviews. More companies should make this part of their company culture via tools that make it easy and common.

We are using https://www.15five.com/ is a tool that helps on 1to1. We write beforehand what we want to talk about and It is something that helps to have the meeting preworked and no make a unplanned meeting.

I have used 7Geese[1] in the past. A little overwhelming as a tool but there are some nuggets of usefulness there. 15Five[2] (what's with these names?) is another one I have used and is a little more approachable. 1. https://7geese.com/ 2. https://www.15five.com/

Have you tried https://www.15five.com/? They offer a full suite of integrated tools; continuous employee feedback, OKRs, pulse surveys, and peer recognition...

This seems really similar to 15Five[1]. What is the main difference between the two of them? [1] https://www.15five.com

I gotta throw out these 2 other ideas as they relate as I have some working code on a similar problem but focused around small groups and daily tasks. 1. Take a look at http://15five.com/ - Just 4 to 5 questions, 15mins - extremely valuable. The problem is status updates. A todo list can fit into this space nicely when you have many teams (e.g. enterprise) and all need a update/email for each weekly sprint. 2. Todo Tonight - Many developers/hackers/etc have day time jobs, but then spend another 3 to 5 hours each night hacking on something. To better focus on their time - rather than send crap to an email each day - why not have a task/todo that is nighly. Speeds up the process - focuses on a simpler achievable tasks (did you complete last night, add notes, urls, etc.) The idea is it's a holding place for "STUFF" it relates to what you are working on. Hit me up @johnmurch if you want to chat more
